14th Annual Couture for a Cure Set to Dazzle

Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

The 14th annual Couture for a Cure event puts guests right next to the runway on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. at Van Andel Institute (VAI). This special evening features a runway fall fashion presentation by Leigh's and a personal appearance by designer Victoria Hayes, along with an exclusive look at her Fall/Winter '19 collection.

Hayes is a New York-based designer whose work has been featured in publications including Harper's Bazaar, Vogue Italia, Elle, Nylon and Paper. Her clothing has been worn by celebrities including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Alicia Keys. Hayes graduated with a BFA from The New School for Design and won the school's top honor of Women's Wear Designer of the Year in 2014.

The best part about this event? One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit biomedical research and science education at VAI.

"Couture for a Cure has been raising funds for science in spectacular fashion for fourteen years now," said Carol Van Andel, executive director of the David and Carol Van Andel Family Foundation. "It's a fun night for an important cause, and we're so grateful to Victoria Hayes, Leigh's, Amway and everyone who comes together to make it happen."

In addition to amazing fashion, Couture for a Cure will feature ARTISTRY cosmetics, exclusively from Amway, both in the beauty lounge (where guests are invited to receive makeup touch-ups) and on the runway. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, strolling dinner, gift bags with an exclusive ARTISTRY gift, and a photo booth.

Cocktail attire is suggested, and complimentary valet parking is available to guests. General admission and VIP tickets are available by visiting Van Andel Institute.
