“As a biracial woman in the workforce, I learned hard lessons. I became the first of many. I often sat in the room as the youngest by 15-plus years. I fought for my seat. I made my voice heard. I proved being bold, loud, unapologetic is strength. Recognition for my work is not the finish line. It’s a stepping stone to lift emerging leaders. Women who earned their seat, stayed true to themselves, remained eternal optimists.”
