Born and raised in Grand Rapids—where her late grandfather, a former Kent County Sheriff, still smiles down from the wall at The Omelette Shoppe—Marilyn is deeply rooted in and committed to her community. As an active Wish Granter with Make-A-Wish Michigan, she has supported families through life-changing moments, including coordinating a seamless first flight experience for a single mother and her children as they embarked on a wish trip. Marilyn is known for bold ideas, purposeful strategy, and championing voices that deserve to be heard. She leads with empathy, energy, and an unwavering belief in the power of connection.
