Calling all runners! It’s time to lace up your sneakers, the annual Run of the Mill 5k is back at Windmill Island Gardens this April on Saturday, April 18. And this year also comes with a brand-new addition: the Mini Millers Kids Run!
Starting at 9:30 a.m. when the park opens, participants will run, jog, or walk around the island enjoying the early signs of spring, head towards Window on the Waterfront, and then head back to Windmill Island Gardens to cross the finish line and collect their medals, or collect prizes courtesy of event sponsors for the top men’s and women’s finishers.
New this year, Windmill Island Gardens is excited to get the kids moving with an all-new Mini Millers Kids Run! Participants ages 10 and under can join in on the fun and compete in a .2-mile dash around the park’s main campus starting at 10:30 a.m.
Windmill Island Gardens opens for the 2026 season on Monday, April 13 at 9:30 a.m. with admission sold until 5 p.m. Windmill Island Gardens is open seven days a week through early October including holidays. Admission is $13 for adults, $6 for youth ages 3-15, and 2 and under enter free.
