Alabama at Frederik Meijer Gardens

Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

Join Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park for this summer's most eclectic outdoor summer concert series, featuring Alabama on Thursday August 23, 2018.

Alabama is the band that changed everything—bringing country music to the mainstream and from side stage to main stage. A classic American tale of rags to riches, the music of Alabama continues to stand the test of time. With 43 No. 1 singles, among them 21 in a row, these international stars changed the face and sound of country music. Relax and enjoy while they play hits like "Mountain Music" and "Dixieland Delight" in the beautiful Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater, with special guest Drew Parker.

This concert is a special fundraising show to benefit the Welcoming the World: Honoring a Legacy of Love capital campaign, dedicated to the expansion and renovation of Meijer Gardens. Among the changes will be a new Covenant Learning Center, Cook Transportation Center, a new Welcome Center, an updated Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater and renovations to existing spaces.

This year, phase one of the amphitheater redesign was rolled out to guests and includes a reconfigured lawn seating area and permanent sponsor seating, giving everyone in the house an excellent view of the stage. Phase two will commence this September to be completed in time for next year's concert series—with a new concessions building that will reduce wait times and alleviate congestion. Other improvements include new restrooms and better facilities for performers.

All proceeds from the show will be used for the expansion and renovation of Meijer Gardens. Check out the many changes happening at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park and don't miss the hit music of Alabama! Tickets are available at startickets.com.
