Enjoy diverse perspectives from West Michigan women.

In a recent dream, I found myself plucking away petals from a daisy. As I pulled a petal off, I said “I love my job” ...  then I’d pull another and say “I love my job not.” You could say I was like Alfalfa from Little Rascals determining if Darla loved him or not. Was I happy in my job? Should I consider changing careers? Am I too far invested in the company? Was I content with my life? As the questions ran through my head, I realized this wasn’t a dream; it was a reality check.

‘Twas the eve before Sunday and on the West Side, a strong gin and tonic could not be denied. The classmates sat perched on the edge of their chairs, wondering which of their other pals soon would be there.

All of our meetings at Serendipity Media incorporate some sort of team-building event, and this year’s sales meeting was no exception. Does the onset of June have you humming Alice Cooper? (“School’s out for the summer!”) I know at my house there is one excited kid, bouncing around in anticipation of warm days and no homework. But even though she’s off the hook for a couple of months, this single mom still has a full-time job—and that means putting plans in place for child care and keeping her entertained during the day, all while balancing my everyday tasks.
