If you’re looking for a way to gather your girlfriends for a weekend of fun, shopping, dining, laughter, and bonding while supporting local businesses, look no further than Downtown Holland’s annual Girlfriends Weekend, taking place March 6-8, 2026.
Registration for the event includes a complimentary mimosa at check-in, swag bag full of goodies, a coupon book with discounts and promotions to participating shops and restaurants, the chance to win great giveaways, and the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun in-store activities and experiences all weekend long (ranging from art classes, candle making, and cake decorating to craft cocktail lessons, and more). Those looking for even more fun can also choose to purchase add-on tickets to both the Breakfast and Fashion Show and the Saturday Night ‘80s Party—two stellar additional options for enhancing the weekend even further.
The three-day event kicks off on Friday with attendee check-in at the Courtyard Marriott at 121 East 8th Street where guests can pick up all their goodies. Then, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., get out and shop at participating Downtown Holland businesses, many of which are offering special in-store activities and experiences! Friday evening sees “Friday Night Live” at participating Downtown Holland bars, featuring live music and fun Girlfriends Weekend drink specials at a cash bar.
Saturday welcomes attendees once again for check-in at the Courtyard Marriott before the start of the Fashion Show & Breakfast over at the Haworth Hotel and Conference Center. It’s here that attendees can get an exclusive look at all of the latest spring fashions and accessories that Downtown Holland clothing and accessory boutiques have to offer (complete with lots of amazing giveaways and a fun party favor, too)! The shopping continues (of course) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. before the ‘80s Party at the Holland Civic Center Place from 8-11 p.m. Dress in your favorite ‘80s gear and enjoy 80’s dance hits, a cash bar, party favors, free photo booth and of course, snacks!
Sunday is the perfect day to fit in some brunch and shopping at the stores you haven’t been able to make it to yet, as the fun continues from 10 a.m. to 4p.m.—and your coupons are still good so use them up!
