Facebook, Instagram, Twitter ... it seems there's some new trend in social media tool that's all the rage, every time you turn around. For busy women, there's just not time to learn them all, nor is it necessary. However, LinkedIn is one social media tool you can't to do without, and it's important to know how to use all of its components to leverage its benefits.
You may have set up a LinkedIn profile, and you may even bother to update it once in a while. However, there is more to it than that. "Leverage LinkedIn: A Hands-on Workshop" provides the opportunity to update your profile, and to learn how to use LinkedIn to promote yourself.
For the first half of the workshop, Deidra McClelland of The Skye Group will walk you through updating your profile, working toward one hundred percent completion. Bring your laptop, along with a current electronic version of your resume.
In the second half of the workshop, Denise Sherwood of Sandler Training will teach you to leverage your LinkedIn profile to maximize results. Denise will work with you to generate leads and face-to-face meetings, and make meaningful connections.
The workshop will take place Thursday, June 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at 2610 Horizon Drive #110 in Grand Rapids. Refreshments will be served, parking is free, and seating is limited, so please register in advance. The cost of registration is $99. You can register here.
