Dress to Progress: ‘Couture for a Cure’ Returns for 19th Year of Fashion and Philanthropy

Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

Get ready for an evening of fashion, splendor and philanthropy as Van Andel Institute’s Couture for a Cure returns for its 19th year on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

Join co-hosts Carol Van Andel and Rebecca Wierda for an unforgettable evening in support of VAI’s mission to improve human health. You’ll see the newest trends from the luxury specialists at Leigh’s, and get an exclusive look at the Holiday/Resort 2025 collection from this year’s featured designer, A.L.C.

Founded by Andrea Lieberman, A.L.C. offers classics with a modern twist, building a foundation of exclusive fabrications, world-class construction and thoughtful-yet-subtle design details. A.L.C.’s Holiday/Resort 2025 Luxe Fluidity collection offers a comprehensive wardrobe for the season. The assortment features pops of traditional fabrics like corduroy and velvet alongside filmy, voile knits and statement pebbled leather. The result is both bold and refined.

For nearly two decades, Couture for a Cure has been Grand Rapids’ premier fashion event. All proceeds go toward VAI’s cutting-edge biomedical research and innovative K–12 and graduate education programs.

Guests will enjoy a strolling cocktail hour, seated dinner, a chance auction, live entertainment from DJ AB, and gift bags featuring exclusive items from Artistry and event sponsors. This is a night you don’t want to miss.

Cocktail attire is suggested for the evening, and complimentary valet parking will be available. Learn more at vai.org/events.
